TORRE DI MOSTO, ITALY/2007
Design: 2007 | Situation: competition project | Team: F. Steccanella, F. Foresto
Since the first visit on site, it appeared clear that the project area is extremely fragmented and without hierarchy; moreover the presence of the road creates a sort of rupture with the rest of the city. The first objective of the project is to exploiting the potential of the area, re-connecting it with the city, through the draft of a linear square from the river bank to the city center, occupied by open “rooms” representing the new social attractors. Taking advantage of the topography, we draft a series of terraces that lead from the zero level up to the top of the embankment, to form a sort of theater to host events during the summer or offer a path from which to enjoy a different perspective of the city.
